Wrightsville Beach, the attractive, squeaky-clean North Carolina beach community, is conveniently located along the southeastern coast of North Carolina. This polished ocean-front community features a number of marina boatominiums where private boat owners can rent wet or dry slips. And there are plenty of hotels, motels and cottage rentals, beachfront or otherwise conveniently located.
Cape Fear Lifestyle in Wrightsville Beach Neighborhoods
While many folks visit the popular Cape Fear coastal spots for a day or for a weekend, many others call these coastal communities home. Not all properties are beachfront, either. Luxury living epitomizes much of the newer construction along the oceanfront, but Wrightsville Beach offers a versatile selection of living options, including condos, town homes, and affordable homes for sale in family-friendly neighborhoods. These real estate options are also convenient to beach, boating and fishing.
The area also has a number of well rated public schools, as well as over a dozen reputable private schools. The University of North Carolina, Wilmington (UNC-W), is nearby, along with Cape Fear Community College.
Wrightsville Beach Real Estate Trends
Over the last few years the southeastern coast of North Carolina, including Wrightsville Beach, has experienced a sharp upswing in new construction. Luxury oceanfront homes and condos are springing up along this very desirable coastal region that blends barrier islands with oceanfront and Intracoastal Waterway.
Planned traditional neighborhood, Mayfaire, is an upscale answer to those residents who want it all within easy reach. Homes are in bungalow and cottage styles and begin around $500,000.
South Oleander and Forest Hills
South of Wrightsville and Brunswick County, smaller, less densely populated coastal communities, such as Forest Hills offer very nice homes in the 200s and 300s. South Oleander features homes in the 400s and 500s. Up until recently the area has remained fairly un-developed. Currently property and real estate is affordable and convenient to celebrated beaches such as Kure Beach, Carolina Beach, Topsail Island, Bald Head Island and Figure Eight Island.
Homes in these outlying communities can be found from the mid $100,000s upwards to multi-million. In the next few years, real estate and property values will zoom skyward in these southern New Hanover County communities.
